2. Why did the photographer say he took the photo?
To warn the subway driver to stop.
3. Do you think the photographer should have taken the photo?
No because he should have run to try to help the person instead of taking the picture that the driver might not even saw the flash.
4. Do you think the photographer did the best thing he could have done in this situation? Why or why not?
No he should have run and try to help him get of there before the train got to hit him

6. What is more important to a photojournalist, capturing images of life as it happens or stopping bad things from happening? Why or why not?

Yes maybe he or she is apart of the event that happen and if he or she wants everyone to be involve in it the therefore he or she must involve themselves
8. Should photojournalists always avoid influencing events as they happen? Explain your answer.
Sometimes yes because it might affect someone in a very negative way causing the to do something he or she might not want to do or getting fire or there life might go down the drain.they should think how it might affect people first

9. After reading the responses from the professional photographers, what stands out as the most appropriate response for a photographer to this situation.
That he did everything in his power to help out the man as he could and it was not his intention of getting the picture but instead of helping him by warning the driver of the subway

Final Semester Exam Part 3

This picture is a perfect example of balancing elements because the moon and the olympic circles fall into place correctly as if the moon was suppose to be part of them. there are no leading lines in this picture which allows it to be brought out very astonishingly.

This is a picture that has simplicity in it making it only focus on the 7 cyclist that are riding there bikes and making the background black making it focus on there subjects more than anything.

This man was caught from different angle so view point has to be involve in the picture also simplicity because the man is by himself with no one else so all eyes most be on him and the plain background pops him out more as well.

Repetition is presented in this photo because of the grass everywhere from one side of the picture to the other, also view point because the subject seems like if she is far away also Framing sounds like if it was involved with this picture.

Final Semester Exam Part 2

Death comes when you least expect it,at the worst possible time as Ben Green experienced it at the age of 69 december the 16th in Colorado, Texas. He was driving on Mopac in the morning just as his window was burst open by a speeding bullet. Many people believe he had this coming being a former mafia leader many had a bod bone to pick with him.
It takes forever to start but it spreads in seconds officer Ibarra commented to the pressed. On the 4th of july many campers started a camp fire to watch the fireworks but suddenly a fire work was shoot into the flames and it made it spark with intensity. The fire was put out by brave officer Ibarra who was the hero of the day saving 2 children's from death.
Fire isn't something to be played with 16 year old David Wang experience that in a near death experience. As everyone was having fun at the annual spring parade David was lit on fire by his former bullies as a prank but later saw out to be one of the closes death experience of his life.

You should increase the ISO when there is not enough light for the camera to be able to quickly capture an image

tell me which ones look the best for:
  • F4  looks best in 1/125 second shutter speed

3 pillars part 1 and 2

F2.8
F17
1. What part of the body should we closely relate aperture?
Aperture,  is closely related to your pupil, large pupil size equals large aperture, while small pupil size equals small aperture.
2. Finish this sentence - the smaller the Aperture the higher the value, the higher the Aperture the lower the value.
3. In your own words tell me how aperture impacts Depth of Field?
Depending on the f-number it will afect the background and the foreground  by making the focus or making objects sharp and the background blurry.

Academic Photo Shoot

Contrast

The dog (the subject) contrast in colors because he is white and black which i a light and dark color. I like the way this picture came out because he looks like if he is a great king.

Avoiding Mergers

I feel that this is a good example of avoiding mergers because nothing was cut out it shows the water (the subject) completely in the picture.

Framing

You are not able to see the full frame, you are able to see part of the student (the subject ) but you are not able to see the whole complete picture. i would have liked to see the picture completely.

Form

I feel that this picture really shows form because it shows the chairs (the subject) three dimensions, its length, width, and height.

Texture

This picture is a great example of texture because it shows a blurry, rough, bumpy, dirty picture were the sun(the subject0 comes out.
Lines
This is a great example of lines because it shows the lines of the keyboard(the subject) completely clear and you can really focus on them.

Elements of Art and Principles of design

Elements of Art

Lines are marks made by a pointed tool: brush, pencil, pen, etc. Lines can vary in width, direction, curvature, length, or color.
The ticky head all show straight lines.

Shapes are formed wherever the ends of a continuous line meet. Geometric shapes such as circles, triangles or squares have perfect, uniform measurements and don't often appear in nature. Organic shapes are associated with things from the natural world, like plants and animals.

It shows shapes of can soup.

Color wheels show the primary colors, secondary colors, and the tertiary (intermediate) colors. They also show the relationships between complementary colors across from each other, such as blue and orange; and analogous (similar or related) colors next to each other such as yellow, green, and blue. Black and white may be thought of as colors but, in fact, they are not. White light is the presence of all color; black is the absence of reflected light and therefore the absence of color.
This picture contains all the primary, secondary and intermediate colors in it

Value, or tone, refers to dark and light; the value scale refers to black and white with all gradations of gray in between.  Value contrasts help us to see and understand a two-dimensional work of art.
It is a picture of light and darkness

Form describes objects that are three-dimensional, having length, width, and height.
In this picture your able to see leght, width, and hight.
Texture can be rough, bumpy, slick, scratchy, smooth, silky, soft, prickly--the list is endless.  Texture refers to the surface quality, both simulated and actual, of artwork.

It is a picture drawn on a rough surface of a cave
Space refers to distances or areas around, between, or within components of a piece. Space can be positive (white or light) or  negative (black or dark), open or closed, shallow or deep, and two-dimensional or three-dimensional.
You have different areas in the picture with three different objects being separated.

Principles of Design

Balance is the comfortable or pleasing arrangement of things in art.  There are three different types of balance: symmetrical, asymmetrical, and radial. The human figure is symmetrically balanced; the same on the left and right side. The tree is asymmetrically balanced; its branches are not distributed equally on each side, but their total weight is balanced left and right. The sun is an example of radial balance; all its rays are equal in length from the center.
this is a asymmetrical photo of the girl

Contrast is created by using elements that conflict with one another. Often, contrast is created using complementary colors or extremely light and dark values. Contrast creates interest in a piece and often draws the eye to certain areas. It is used to make a painting look interesting.
the color really pop out in this picture makes it interesting

Emphasis in the focal area of an artwork gives it importance.  An artist may stress some elements of the design over others. The eye of the viewer will focus on the area of emphasis or center of interest first, then take in the rest of the composition.
you feel strong when you see the men in the middle but the you notice everything else and feel strong about it
Movement in an artwork means the artist is taking viewers on a trip through the work by means of lines, edges, shapes, and colors often leading to the focal area.  Movement is a visual flow through the composition. It can be the suggestion of motion in a design as you move from object to object by way of placement and position.  Directional movement can be created with a value pattern. It is with the placement of dark and light areas that you can move your attention through the format.
the waves move in a direction
Patterns are made in art when the same shapes or elements are repeated again and again.  Pattern uses the elements of art in planned or random repetitions to enhance surfaces of paintings or sculptures.
the shape of the pedal repeats itself to make a flower

Rhythm is the repetition of shapes, lines, and forms.  Rhythm is a movement in which some elements recurs regularly.  Like a dance, it will have a flow of objects that will seem to be like the beat of music.
it repeats the patter of two people talking
Unity means that all elements in an artwork are in harmony.  Unity brings together a composition with similar units.  For example, if your composition was using wavy lines and organic shapes you would stay with those types of lines and not put in even one geometric shape.
all the colors are presented and it looks like if they where in harmony
